Order your kit

Your test kit ships free within 2 business days. Inside: an alpha-track radon detector, a printed placement guide, and a pre-paid return label. Everything you need in one box.

Place the detector

Follow the placement guide — lowest lived-in level, away from windows and vents. Takes about 2 minutes. We'll send a check-in email on Day 7 as a reminder to verify your detector is still in place.

Wait 91+ days (we’ll keep you on track)

Your detector needs at least 91 days to capture an accurate long-term reading — you can leave it for up to 12 months for an even more representative result. We’ll check in at Day 7, Day 30, and Day 60 so the test stays top of mind. You don’t need to do anything during this time.

Return your kit

At Day 85, we’ll email you step-by-step return instructions. Return anytime after 91+ days (up to 12 months). Seal the detector in the provided envelope, attach the pre-paid label, and take it to a Canada Post depot, post office, or authorized postal outlet. Do not use a street mailbox. We track it from there.

Get your results

Within 2 business days of Lex Scientific posting your results, we’ll email you with your radon level in Bq/m³, how it compares to the Health Canada guideline (200 Bq/m³), and links to general next-step resources.
