While the single biggest driver of the radon–smoking interaction is active smoking, reducing exposure to second-hand smoke is consistent with the same goal: fewer smoke particles in the air people breathe, alongside lower radon. Two levers, both worth pulling
Because radon and smoking multiply each other, you get outsized benefit from addressing both:

Health Canada recommends a long-term test using an alpha-track detector for at least 91 days, placed in the lowest lived-in level of the home.
